Lapis Lazuli is a stone sought after for its intense hues of blue. Lapis artifacts have been found dating as far back as 9000 years ago. In Latin, lapis translates to stone. Lazuli is derived from the Persian word "lajevard" meaning sky or heaven. During the Middle Ages, it was exported to Europe from the Middle East where it was turned into a pigment known as ultramarine. This specific shade of blue would go on to be used by many artists, especially those depicting the Virgin Mary.

Lapis Lazuli enhances honesty and communication. It increases your self-awareness and your ability to speak your mind.
