We had a few of these specimens in our galleries and everybody loved them! Small clusters of azurite sit perched atop a light matrix creating a perfect contrast of color. You are able to still see the crystal structure really well in addition to small quartz crystals and one smaller patch of malachite to give this specimen even more character!

Azurite is a vibrant blue copper-based mineral. Its name is derived from the Persian word lazhward, an area known for the other famous blue stone, lapis lazuli. Its lovely blue color is often associated with deserts and winter skies. Azurite can take on many different forms but is crystallized in the monoclinic systems. These different forms come in everything from prismatic crystals, druzy coatings, and matte nodules.
Azurite increases insight, intuition, and intellect. It is very useful for expanding your consciousness and opening deeper levels of awareness.
