Blue Chalcedony is a translucent, crystalline form of quartz. Its name comes from the Latin word "chalcedonius," probably deriving from a town in Asia Minor known as Chalcedon, today Istanbul. Chalcedony is closely related to aventurine, carnelian, agates, and onyx.

Blue Chalcedony is perfect for relieving hostility and irritability while promoting kindness and compassion. Chalcedony is a nurturing stone that promotes both brotherhood and goodwill.
