Botswana Agate is a variety of agate (chalcedony) prized for its soft hues of pink, blue, and orange. Although technically just a common agate, it is this combination of colors that makes this mineral so sought after. The earliest forms of Botswana agate were formed 180 million years ago in African volcanoes.
