Dalmatian Jasper gets its name from the resemblance to the dog breed dalmatian. It is not a true jasper but an igneous rock. This microcrystalline form of quartz is a mix of different minerals that often contains iron oxides, creating a slight orange color in its matrix.
Dalmatian Jasper is said to reconnect us with our playful nature. This stone aids in overcoming depression, nightmares, and negative thought patterns.
