Dumortierite is an aluminum-based silicate mineral that was first described in the early 1880s when it was found in the French Alps. It can be found in many colors such as green, pink, violet, and brown, but its most common occurrence is blue. This discrepancy in colors depends on what elements replace the aluminum. It is often used in the manufacture of high-quality porcelain.
Dumortierite is known as the stone of tolerance and tranquility. It promotes positive attitudes and cleanliness while organizing a distracted mind.
