Elephant Ear Selenite is a specific formation of gypsum "petals" that contains inclusions of sand granules. These specimens closely resemble some of the highly sought-after gypsum roses found across the United States and Canada. This is a lovely species that displays nicely without a stand.

Crystallized gypsum is collected for its beautiful flattered, transparent, often twinned crystals. Many specimens also exhibit wonderful fluorescence and phosphorescence properties.
