Blue Kyanite was first discovered in 1789. It gets its name from the Greek word "kuanos", meaning blue. It is most commonly found in metamorphic rocks that grow under high-pressure environments.  It typically forms in bladed sprays of blue in association with garnet, staurolite, and corundum minerals such as ruby.

Blue Kyanite encourages communication and self-expression. It assists in facing fears and speaking your truth.
