The Broad-Toothed Mako, also known as the Giant Mako, is another common shark tooth we have in our galleries. This genus of mackerel shark lived during the late Oligocene and the Early Pleistocene. This is a killer example of a Broad-Toothed Mako fossil. As you can see in the photos, this tooth showcases a chocolate brown root paired with a brown blade that transitions to a lighter gray. There is a slight nick on the backside of the blade.
