Rhodonite is a pink silicate mineral caused by manganese. This mineral often contains streaks of black or black dendrites due to manganese oxides that filled fractures. This mineral rarely forms into crystals, but when it does it displays a beautiful translucent red. Faceted stones are sought after by many collectors, but are rarely used in jewelry because of how soft the mineral is.
Rhodonite is a stone of compassion. It clears emotional wounds and trauma by stimulating the heart.
