Store Closure FAQ
Why are you closing? Unfortunately, our time at Crabtree Valley Mall is coming to an end. Mall management has decided not to renew our lease in order to make room for a national chain retailer. While we are heartbroken to leave the space we’ve built, we are incredibly grateful for the community that has supported our local rock shop over the past 8 years (6 years at Crabtree!).
When is your last day open? Our final day of regular operations at this location will be July 26. Until then, we’ll continue to be open 7 days a week with normal operating hours.
Will you be opening somewhere else? Yes! We will be reopening within The Streets of Southpoint in Durham, N.C. in August. Our reopen date will be announced once we move and begin renovations.
Will you be having a store closing sale? Yes. Starting July 1, we will be offering significant discounts across our inventory. This is a great time to stock up on your favorite stones, crystals, mineral & fossil specimens, and gifts. Please note that all closing sale purchases will be final. We’ll still accommodate exchanges whenever possible until the final day open.
Can I still use my gift cards or store credit or loyalty points? Absolutely. Please come in and use any outstanding gift cards, loyalty rewards, or store credit before our final day on July 26.
How can the community help right now? The best way to support us during this tough transition is to come visit us one last time! Take advantage of our closing sales, say hello to the staff, and share your favorite finds and memories from our shop on social media. You can also fill out our Feedback Form. Every purchase helps us clear out inventory and funds our transition to whatever comes next. Google reviews are still helpful too!
Where can I be updated about this? We will be posting all updates regarding our move on our socials, including this website.
