Peacock Ore, or chalcopyrite in this case, is very similar to what most people know as iron pyrite. It has a crystalline structure and is often found in large masses and alongside other copper-based minerals such as malachite, azurite, and cuprite. Commercially, peacock ore is a trade name given to both chalcopyrite and bornite.
Peacock Ore is commonly used for meditation practices as it assists in clearing the mind and guiding toward personal enlightenment. It is a grounding stone that also works to strengthen memory.
Commonly Found in Mexico, Morocco, Peru, and the United States.
